Anthony Blake, Owner and Operator of Lilmyth Fitness and Absolute Nutrition (absolutenutrition.org), got started on the bodybuilding journey when he was just 12 years old – this is when he received his first set of weights.
He quickly became addicted to training with weights, and every single night (after his homework was done, of course) he went through a specific training routine.
Over time, Blake learned the benefits (and risks) associated with weight training, as well as the importance good nutrition played in maintaining an overall healthy lifestyle. Today he spends five hours a week in the gym doing specific workout circuits, in addition to eating right on a regular basis.
Bodybuilding became more than just weight training for Blake about 12 years ago, when he began participating in bodybuilding competitions, with the stage name of Lilmyth (which comes from Blake’s first bodybuilding idol – Sergio Olivia (aka The Myth)). Bodybuilding competitions judge participants on a variety of attributes, such as:
Body symmetry and looks
Muscle maturity and cuts
Posing routines (which competitors must come up with on their own)
Blake competes as a lightweight, e.g., no more than 156 ¼ pounds, and has been winning ever since his very first competition. At competition time, you will find Blake in tip top shape, with a body fat percentage of only 3.2% (an average man’s body fat is 12 – 15%).
